We’re excited to share our latest publication, “Features of the Liquid Film in Downward Vertical Air-Water Annular Flow: Downstream Flow Evolution and Disturbance Wave Parameters”, published in the International Journal of Multiphase Flow.
The study developed at NUEM – Multiphase Flow Research Center / UTFPR focuses on understanding the liquid film in downward vertical air-water annular flows with a particular emphasis on the characterization of disturbance waves. These waves are pivotal in revealing critical insights about the stability and transitional behaviors within such systems. The research reveals aspects such as the average film thickness, liquid film roughness, velocity, frequency, amplitude, and length.
