We invite you all to check out the new article published by NUEM – Multiphase Flow Research Center in the Fuel Journal, “Experimental Characterization of Hydrate Formation in Non-Emulsifying Systems upon Shut-in and Restart Conditions”. This work is focused on identifying some important parameters that influence the hydrate formation in shut-in and restart conditions. Moreover, a phenomenological model is proposed for the hydrate formation upon restart.
This work was developed in collaboration with Prof. Amadeu Sum of the Phases to Flow Laboratory at Colorado School of Mines (CSM – USA). NUEM acknowledges the financial support of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – Brazil (CAPES) and of TE/CENPES/PETROBRAS.
