Check out the new article of NUEM – Multiphase Flow Research Center, published in ACS Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, “Defining a Slurry Phase Map for Gas Hydrate Management in Multiphase Flow Systems”, This study proposes a pioneer slurry phase map to infer safety of oil and gas production when gas hydrates form, with application to in oil-dominant systems.
This study was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Amadeu K. Sum of the Phases to Flow Laboratory at Colorado School of Mines, US, and Prof. Dr. Ana Cameirão and Prof. Dr. Jean-Michel Herri of the SPIN Center of Chemical Engineering of Mines Saint-Etienne, France, in the scope of the JIRP – Joint International Research Program on Gas Hydrates and Multiphase Flow. Financial support are owed to Région AURA Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes through the project COOPERA FluEnergy, the Institut Mines-Télécom, the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel-Brazil (CAPES)-Finance Code 001, and TE/CENPES/PETROBRAS.
