NUEM attended the 8th Thermal and Fluids Engineering Conference (Hybrid)

NUEM – Multiphase Flow Research Center attended the 8TH Thermal and Fluids Engineering Conference (Hybrid) from the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE), presenting two works. The conference was hosted by the University of Maryland – USA, from march 26 to march 29.

In this opportunity, NUEM has presented two works. The first, “Disturbance wave behavior in the vertical downward annular flow”, explores the experimental evaluation to enhance the understanding of the liquid film and complement the literature on downward annular flow modeling approaches.
Authors: Ana Luiza Beltrão SantanaEduardo Nunes dos SantosMarco Jose da Silva, Moisés A. Marcelino Neto and Rigoberto Morales.

The second work, “Experimental study of the effect of gas density on horizontal liquid-gas flow”, investigates the influence of gas density in similar conditions to those found in the deep-sea production field.

Authors: Bruna Patricia Naidek, Matheus V. R. Pereira, Moisés A. Marcelino Neto and Rigoberto E. M. Morales. This work is sponsored by Petrobras, represented by Roberto da Fonseca Jr.
